The Tech4Village Project
Building a sustainable ecosystem of tech access for underserved youth in rural Kenya through recycled devices, connectivity, and mentorship.
How We're Making Impact
Our six-step process transforms discarded technology into educational opportunities for rural Kenyan students.
Device Collection
Partnering with schools, organizations, and individuals to collect used laptops, tablets, and smartphones that still have educational value.
Refurbishment
Testing hardware, installing educational software, and ensuring each device is optimized for learning in low-resource environments.
Distribution
Coordinating with local schools and youth centers to ensure devices reach students who need them most in rural communities.
Connectivity
Setting up Wi-Fi hotspots and internet access points to ensure students can connect to online educational resources.
Training
Conducting workshops for students and teachers on digital literacy, basic troubleshooting, and maximizing educational technology.
Mentorship
Providing ongoing support, guidance, and remote mentorship to help students leverage technology for academic success.
Growing Impact Across Kenya
What started as a simple idea during my rite of passage has grown into a movement reaching rural communities across Kenya. We're not just distributing devices—we're building a network of digitally empowered youth.
Our focus on sustainability means every device distributed comes with training, support, and a commitment to long-term educational success.
