From Forest to Future: How a Rite of Passage Sparked a Tech Mission

"At 14, I led my Kikuyu rite of passage — two weeks of physical and mental discipline in the forest. That experience shaped my view of leadership as service."

When I returned to my family’s village and saw students struggling without access to tech, I knew I had to act. That’s when Tech4Village was born. What started with a few devices from friends has now grown into a regional network connecting underserved youth to opportunity.
